Places are filling up on the Lime Street 2 Monte Carlo bike ride taking place at the end of August where participants, aside from the novelty of travelling to the Reinsurance Rendez-Vous on a bike, will be raising money for Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of British and Irish rugby.
More than 35 people have now signed up for the challenge, which sees cyclists setting off from Lime Street on August 30 before pedalling 1,223 km through the flats of northern France, the beautiful Loire Valley and over the iconic French Alps on their way to the principality. The group is set to arrive in Monte Carlo’s Grand Casino Square on September 7.
Brokers RFIB, Miller and Guy Carpenter are all backing the event and sponsorship opportunities remain, while people can also sponsor the individual riders if they so wish.
